Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - At World's End
In this movie Captain Jack Sparrow is trapped on a sea of sad in Davy Jones' Locker. While he is there he is seeing more than one character of himself. The characters talk with each other and they are also on a ship. There is no water but they think that they are at sea. While Captain Jack Sparrow is not only the captain of the ship, he is also all the other characters on the ship. Carrying out all the duties that needed to be done at one time. While on the ship, he shoots one of his characters. As always there will be limited amounts of food on a ship full of people. He shot the other character because he wanted the peanut that the character had. Just thinking to myself- If every character on the ship is you, how could fight over food with yourself? Later in that scene he thought he seen a bunch of crabs carrying his ship away. As the movie continues he is later captured and jailed while on a different ship. He once again sees more characters of himself. While imprisoned on the ship he also sees his good and bad consciousness. His consciousness was telling him what he should do while he was in his situation.
I chose this movie because Captain Jack Sparrow was hullucinating. Your not suppose to see your consciousness. His bad consciousness was working with the ID (found in Chapter 11) and dealing with pleasure. His good consciousness was working with the SUPEREGO. He also showed a sign of DID-Dissociative Identity Disorder (found in Chapter 12). When he seen the different characters of himself and they each had a different personality. Although they are all the same person, they each had different personality. Also when he seen the many crabs carrying away his ship, he was hallucinating (found in Chapter 12). There was a lot of crabs but, none of them could carry away a big wooden ship. Not even if with the teamwork that they had.

I love this movie. I hope they make more. And you have done a great job on your project.
I don't entirely agree, however, that Jack was hallucinating when he saw the crabs carrying his ship away because the group of friends that came to save him saw this as well. The Sea Goddess, "Calypso," actually picked up one of the crabs after they saw the boat sail through the sand and in to the ocean. But I do think that Sparrow was Hallucinating when he saw several forms of himself on the ship. I hesitate to label it as DID, However, because it seems as though he remembered what his other personalities were doing and with DID the person has no memory of the other personality. Also, with DID alternate personalities are created to accomplish something that the main personality is not capable of. For example, a shy, meek person may develop a strong, bold personality to defend or protect the shy "main personality." The movie is unclear on whether he remembered his alternate personalities, so it is possible to infer in either direction, to be fair.
Hey Mike! You really did do a good job with explaining how this movie related to Psychology. Great Job Bud!!
