HOUSE Being Antisocial

HOUSE Being Antisocial

House is an innovative take on medical drama. The show solves mysteries where the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients. The show star is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) who is devoid of bedside manner and dealing with his own constant physical pain. He uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. House's behavior can be border line to antisocial. He thrives to solve medical puzzles in order to save the patient life.He can be very selfish and sometimes impulsive.

I chose this TV show because it shows how some people can be antisocial. Although House works in a hosptial and has to work with a lot of other people, he still has the antisocial trait. Antisocial (found in Chapter 12) maybe caused by the fact the he has a leg problem. He can be rude and selfish to anyone he chooses. I'm not sure if they really know what happened to his leg but he tends to not talk about it. When he's thinking about different ways to save patients, he sometimes keeps it all to himself. He does some illegal things also when working with the patients in the hospital. Majority of these signs that he show are traits from the antisocial behavior.

I also used the show House as one of my projects. It's one of my favorite shows. I think Dr. House is a perfect example of Antisoocial Personality. He does what he wants or whatever he has to do regardless of how wrong other's may think it is. He is selfish and he is always putting his wants ahead of anyone elses. Great project!

This is a great way to explan the character of House. He is always putting his wants a haed of what everyone else wants of him. This is shown in his poor bedside maner.

House is a very different kind of character. With him being so anti-social, this helps him to figure out what is wrong with his patients. When he doesn't trust people it forces them to tell the truth so he can really help them.
